Not wanting to sit still and allow Google, Youtube and Yahooo to run targeted advertising.
BSKYB UK SKY TV have decided to participate in the world of targeted advertising and are in the process of launching a new way of streaming advertisements to SKY TV viewers that have a SKY+HD BOX.
The new advertsing platform is known as adsmart and will cut in and take over traditional advertising slots instead of the usual UK TV adverts.
Ronald Bladen, 52, of Park Lane Avenue, in Madeley, UK allegedly made £3,000 from selling 22 fake sky boxes between March 1 and November 8th a court heard.
But his Ebay scam was discovered by security officials at BSkyB who carried out an intense undercover investigation over several months.
He put his hands up and fully admitted to selling the fake sky set top boxes, which were pre-loaded with illegal software, when he appeared before the Telford Magistrates Court.
Mr Bladen was sentenced to eight weeks in jail for breaching a suspended sentence and four weeks for satellite tv fraud by false representation, to run consecutively.
He was also given two weeks in prison for failure to surrender to run concurrently.
Mrs Becky Jones, prosecuting, said that Bladen was arrested after BSkyB officials alerted police in Madeley.
Officers who searched the house found a number of fake set top boxes and evidence that led to the successful conviction.
Mr James Wade, who was acting for Bladen, said that his client had been in need of money and had only actually made £500 using the Ebay platform evidence showed that he had been selling the boxes to clients as far away as Spain & France.

The central office for
preventing and detecting communication and technology crime of the Verden
prosecuters office praised the investigating team that allowed a succesful
prosecution and prosecution of the card cloning criminal.
The 51 year old German man
of no known address pleased guilty to charges of SKY CARD SHARING that violates
the German commercial computer fraud Laws. It was said that the defendent had
been working with a network of re-sellers al across Germany and was know under his
nickname "MRCHEEKYCHOPS"
The defendant was
sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment without parole for commercial
computer fraud carried out in partnership with others. The ruling has been
appealed. And he is expected to serve nine months behind bars before being
considered for home detention that shall see the man electronically tagged.
The Court heard that the man was a devoted member of a German Folk Music Band and was dreading not being able to perform whilst locked away in Prison.
Sky and NAGRA have been
working on the case for several years gathering surveillance and information,
investigators suspected that the suspect had been selling his services on the
internet for some time.

said that we finally caught up with the defendant as he waited for a flight
to Valencia
and that the information and communication crimes statutes had allowed them to
prosecute to the full extent of German Law.

I recently bought a new 40-inch LED TV from MediaMarkt for our villa in San Pedro, a neighbour recommended a supplier who sells a SMART TV box that he told us would allow access to UK TV if we connect the box to the internet, since having everything installed I have noticed that my eyes really hurt after watching the TV. I have tried changing the settings for on the TV but still my eyes hurts even after 25 minutes sometimes.
When we watch a DVD the picture quality is so much better and I do not get sore eyes. I initially thought that it must be something to do with the Television settings, I tried to contact the supplier of the smart tv box but despite several failed appointments with us waiting for a visit we decided to ask a local satellite installer to take a look, I don’t want to complain to my neighbor as I suppose he was only trying to help and our Daughter has just made friends with the twins so do not want to moan about the issues to him.
I called a local satellite TV installer and as soon as the satellite engineer noticed the smart tv box he let out a sigh and said "That is your problem there, that box is useless" he went on to tell us that this type of box is ok for a standard definition picture although with our TV having such a big screen and being LED that the picture the box supplies is not good enough and that we would better off buying a UK SKY+HD BOX with a PPN router so we can get bbc and itv through the internet after the big switch off.
The engineer also had a Mag250 iptv box with him that he has left with us for the weekend and I have to say that I am very impressed with the picture and channel line up and the catch up is also really handy as is the video library.
I would greatly appreciate your advice what you think the best option is.

Yes – Having a SKY+HD box is a great option you will require a UK VPN router + set up an account with SKY UK. With a SKY subscription costing just £300 a year this is by far the best option with the best picture quality on the market for UK TV.
As far as that smart tv box is concerned ask for a full refund and if they refuse ask for the complaints book. So sorry to hear about this, we advise you stop using that so called smart tv box immediately as it could be damaging your entire Families eyesight as the picture quality is not good enough for your new LED TV, imagine buying a Ferrari and then topping off the tank with diesel. This is not good and these poorly manufactured Chinese boxes seem to be flooding the market and leaving many unhappy customers.
Unlike SKY HD or a HD IPTV box such as the MAG-250 these cheap & nasty Chinese "Smart TV" or as we call them "Not so Smart TV" boxes offer a cheap quick fix and many people have made the same mistake, a 40" LED TV should have built in up-scaling however these so called smart tv boxes have such a poor picture when using Filmon that this may be why you have been experiencing sore eyes. Always a good sign if a supplier offers to leave a product with you to try we agree that the MAG-250 is a fantastic box although some people do prefer the superior picture quality of the SKY+HD BOX especially the newer WIFI model that can be supplied for around €400.
