With many SMART TV systems and IPTV boxes now becoming available, electronics monster SONY have announced that they are launching a new IPTV service later in 2013. It has been confirmed that Viacom and Sony are working closely to roll out a whole IPTV solution before the end of 2013.

Channel line up may include; MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BBC iplayer, ITV on-demand, 5 on-demand and Euro Sport.

Several overseas IPTV broadcasters are now anxious to add content to the service that will initially be available on the Sony PS3 and certain Televisions in the Sony range. National Geographic and Dave have been rumored to have been in talks to include certain back catalogue TV shows and documentaries.  British families living in Spain that wish to use the UK side of this service will need to purchase a UK VPN router.

Consumers are now gearing up and looking at new UHDTV.
