Television Broadcasters join ranks and ban new Panasonic advertisement for SMART TV in Tokyo, Japan. The new generation on LED SMART TELEVISION resulted in Broadcasters refusing to run the advertisement this week. A source close to Broadcasting bosses said that the advert has been banned due

to Broadcasters claiming that the advertisement for a "twin" screen

option that allows the viewer to watch Broadcasted TV at the same time as IPTV would confuse the viewer. Why have the Japanese Broadcasters taken this stance? It is our opinion that they do not want to loose out on advertising revenue as viewers will be able to seamlessly switch between "live national TV" and streamed IPTV content in between TV shows where you would normally be subjected to 5/6 minutes of advertisements.
